Supermarkets- Gabbs, Asaba Amaka, then ShopRite which is like 20 mins away
Restaurants: Iyara side closest and quite affordable, others: Five star, Paprika, Nova, Rodinia, about 20-30 mins away, Asaba is quite small so everywhere is kinda close)
Also Dominos and coldstone, Burger King, Kilimanjaro and chicken republic for your fast food too and pizza
Cinema: Genesis located inside the mall, then Chill out private cinema; you and your friends can book this for just 25k for a group of 6 )
Parks- Leisure park, Park Vega in Agbor (about 45mins-1hr away though)
Other hangout spots: New spots and pounded pop out regularly, karaoke spots too.
Orientation: Depends on the department, like Paediatrics has good orientation
Main Responsibilities:
Ward rounds ๐ฉโโ, clinic, theatre (you may be asked to scrub in and assist for CS and others especially during call hours)

O&G: Episiorraphy
Paed: we do transfusions
Specific drug administration: we give IV labetalol, MgSo4, Dopamine mainly
Post-round mop-ups with seniors- yea this too
The workload can feel quite a lot sometimes because we are not so many, but Iโd say itโs generally fair, some days chaotic others okay
Staff & Colleagues: Non-toxic environment, maybe just really few outliers
Friendly / supportive doctors]: Yes
Admin staff & nurses โ mainly Int medicine nurses are badly behaved shaa, others are cool
Key tip: Try to apply yourself as much as possible because theyโd give you the opportunity to really learn skills, that is if you are interested.
There are cameras everywhere within the hospital so avoid doing shady things
Inside hospital: Hospital canteen, the food is just okay, ARD lounge; food is fair too (I have really exquisite taste shaa, but some people rate these spots to have really good food)
We have parfait plugs, yoghurt, small chops too and chin chin ๐

Snack kiosks & delivery contact- yea we have this ]
Outside hospital: Iyara side eatery, Fruitville for youghurt, parfait, fruit salad, smoothies all are close by
Thereโs this pharmacy opposite the hospital that also sells snacks that opens 24hours so if you are hypo during your call you can just go and buy coke
